EghtesadOnline: Iran’s exports to Thailand and Indonesia, crude oil excluded, registered the highest growth compared to other export destinations during the first 10 months of the current fiscal year (March 21, 2017-Jan. 20), the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran announced.

The two Southeast Asian countries were the ninth and 10th biggest customers of Iranian products over the period respectively after China, the UAE, Iraq, South Korea, Turkey, India, Afghanistan and Pakistan registered a decline. Iran exported 1.5 million tons of non-oil goods worth $586 million to Thailand during the period, indicating a 115% rise in terms of weight and 150% rise in terms of value compared with the same period of last year, the Persian economic daily Donya-e-Eqtesad reported.Exports to Indonesia hovered around 1.4 million tons worth $465 million, posting a 98% increase in terms of weight and a rise of 267% in terms of value year-on-year. According to the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration, a total of 99.3 million tons of non-oil goods worth $35.61 billion were exported in the 10 months, indicating a 7% decline in weight and a 2% drop in value YOY, according to Financial Tribune.
