EghtesadOnline: The Central Insurance of Iran has published rules to regulate the operations of online marketers linking companies offering insurance services with applicants.

According to rules published by CII on its website, online marketers of insurance products must first and foremost obtain all permits, including those issued by the Ministry of Industries and the Ministry of Culture.

They must publish contents in a way that will allow applicants to view and compare final prices and other indicators, and permit them to opt out of purchasing insurance policies at any stage before the process is over.

In addition to another part of the regulations obligating insurers to safeguard the information of their customers and send a draft of any contracts with online marketers to CII, other contents deal with ensuring transparency, accessibility and ease of understanding the information given to customers by marketers and insurers, according to Financial Tribune.
