EghtesadOnline: About 42,000 tons of agricultural products worth $25 million have been exported from Zanjan Province since the beginning of the current Iranian year on March 21, 2017, according to Abdollah Jafari, an official with Zanjan Agricultural Jihad Organization.
The exports mainly included tomato and tomato paste, livestock and poultry, apple, raisins, garlic, dried fruits, watermelon and dairy products, including cheese, cream and yogurt, Mehr News Agency reported.
The main export destinations were Germany, Belgium, Turkey, Austria, Iraq, Russia, Kuwait, Denmark, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Armenia, Hungary, Poland, Qatar, Bahrain, Azerbaijan and Afghanistan.
Jafari noted that exports saw a 32% and 18% growth in terms of value and weight respectively, Financial Tribune reported.
Last year’s (March 2016-17) export of agricultural products from Zanjan stood at 50,000 tons.
