EghtesadOnline: Armenian Ambassador to Tehran Artashes Tumanyan conferred with Khorasan Razavi province Governor General Alireza Rashidian on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Tumanyan said that Khorasan Razavi province has plenty of grounds for mutual cooperation with Armenia.
According to IRNA, he said that although Armenia has no large-scale economy, but there exists plenty of grounds for mutual cooperation between businessmen of the two sides.
Tumanyan added that he visited seven manufacturing units in the province and their production were all in accordance with international standards and world technologies, so it is a good ground for bilateral relations between Armenia and Khorasan Razavi.
He said that Razavi Khorasan has extraordinary potentials in the field of renewable energies, economy and tourism, which could be attractive for foreign investors.
The ambassador said that Armenia may have bilateral ties with Razavi Khorasan in the fields of science, education and exchanging students.
Governor General Alireza Rashidian said relations between the two countries are progressive and suitable while expressing the hope that interactions expand in direction of both nations' interests.
Armenia has good capacities for activities of Iranian businessmen and Khorasan Razavi has also good capacities for mutual cooperation with Armenia, especially Commonwealth of Independence States (CIS) countries, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
In the field of science and academy, Khorasan Razavi with 270 higher education centers, 300,000 students, 5,000 faculty members and 12,000 foreign students is one of Iran's academic hubs.
Rashidian said that one of the fields for mutual cooperation is holding exhibitions to introduce products and goods of the province to Armenia.
The governor general said that Khorasan Razavi has 6,000 industrial units and 42 minerals, adding that 95 percent of the investment in industry in the province belongs to the private sector.
