EghtesadOnline: The goods and services Consumer Price Index in the 12-month period ending Oct. 22, which marks the end of the Iranian month of Mehr, increased by 8.2% compared with last year’s corresponding period, the Statistical Center of Iran reported.
The SCI put urban and rural inflation for Mehr at 8% and 9.1% respectively. The overall CPI (using 2011 as the base year) stood at 255.5 in Mehr, indicating a 1.1% rise compared with the previous month. The CPI for urban and rural areas had a 1.2% and 0.7% increase month-on-month respectively. The year-on-year increase was 8.7% for the whole country, 8.6% for urban areas and 9.1% for rural areas compared with last year’s corresponding month, according to Financial Tribune.
