EghtesadOnline: The third batch of equipment for the development of the southeastern Iranian port of Chabahar worth more than €16 million was delivered on Wednesday.

The batch includes two “Pneumatic Grain Unloader” for the joint production of grain suction equipment by Germany’s NAIRO and Iran’s Machine Sazi Arak.

The first batch (nine Liebherr cranes) arrived in Chabahar from Germany in February and the second, including 13 reach stackers, was delivered in September.

Overall, investments worth $31 million out of $403 million earmarked as port facilities for the development of Chabahar Port have been made in the southeastern Iranian port, according to Financial Tribune.

Upon the completion of the first phase of Chabahar development, the port’s capacity will increase to 8.5 million tons from the current 2.5 million tons.
