EghtesadOnline: The first Iran-Italy Science, Technology, and Innovation Forum will be held April 19-20 in Tehran and will include lectures and workshops on several emerging research sectors.
The initiative is part of the Italian government’s multi-year program dedicated to the internationalization of research and innovation systems and to share scientific, technological and commercial experience.
At the core of the project is creating a stable platform and structure enabling universities, research centers and companies with strong innovative impact to export its skills to Iran.
In Italy, the program is sponsored by the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR), in synergy with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, according to Financial Tribune.
The forum is coordinated by Rome’s City of Science, in collaboration with the Italian Conference of Rectors, and the National Research Council [of Italy].
In Iran, the initiative is promoted by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.
The forum is open to public and private organizations (research centers, universities, innovative clusters, cluster-company research, science and technology parks, etc.) from both countries.
Areas of research to be covered by the event include aerospace, life sciences, biotechnology and biomedicine, green chemistry, intelligent factories, mobility, next generation ICT services and several more research areas.
