EghtesadOnline: A regional workshop on Internet of Things (IoT) will be held at Iran’s Faculty of Information and Communications Technology in Tehran on July 8, according to local media outlets.

The workshop will target the Asia-Pacific region following consultations with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Mehr News Agency reported Monday.

The workshop will be hosted by ITU professors and chairman of the study group for Internet of Things and smart cities, as well as Iranian instructors. A steering committee has been formed at the Iranian faculty for optimal use of the workshop, and collect  views of industry, regulatory and academic sectors.

The workshop will last four days. Those interested can visit the websites of the faculty and the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, according to Financial Tribune.
