EghtesadOnline: Iran’s national team has won the World Wushu Championships for the first time.
Iranian male and female wushu practitioners have displayed extraordinary physical and mental skills at the Taolu and Sanda competitions of the 14th edition of World Wushu Championships, and won eight gold medals, one silver.
With a total of 11 medals, the Iran’s national team stood at the first place of the competitions, ISNA reported.
China became runner-up with seven gold medals and one silver. Host Russia finished in third place after winning two gold, one silver and two bronze medals.
The 14th World Wushu Championships (WWC) took place from Sept. 27 to Oct. 3 in Kazan City, Russia.
The tournament brought together approximately 860 competitors from 57 countries.
