EghtesadOnline: President Hassan Rouhani on Monday inaugurated a ceremony to unveil Iran’s first ever Charter of Citizens’ Rights.
The Charter focuses on points regarding the country's Constitution and rights of the nation.
In his 2013 presidential campaign, Rouhani promised to compile a charter of the citizens rights because he believed all walks of people in the Iranian society had to feel the sense of equality, IRNA reported.
Within 100 days after his election as the President, he introduced the first draft of the charter and made it available to all in the official website of the Iranian president.
Many officials are attending the inauguration ceremony of the document today.
