EghtesadOnline: Dialogue is the only solution to the regional and international crises, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, who is paying a visit to Tehran, said on Wednesday.

He made the remarks in a joint press conference with President Hassan Rouhani.

Dialogue for peace is the only solution to the regional and international crises including the crisis in Syria, Yemen and Myanmar, the official added.

He said that his trip will open a new chapter in development of relations between Iran and Indonesia, according to IRNA.

The Indonesian president said he has talked about ways of boosting the two countries' relations in economic and energy fields.

Widodo added that he has discussed import of 500, 000 tons of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) from Iran.

Establishment of a refinery in Indonesia, construction of power plant and enhancement of recovery rate from the Ab-Teymour and Mansoor oil fields were also discussed, he noted.

Indonesian president said a delegation consisting of 60 people accompany him and are expected to talk with their Iranian counterparts during the trip.

He thanked Iranian president for inviting him to pay a visit to Iran.

Widodo was officially welcomed by President Hassan Rouhani at Saadabad Cultural Complex in North of Tehran on Wednesday.

Widodo, heading a high-ranking delegation, arrived in Tehran on December 13 to confer with Iranian senior officials.

The trip aims at boosting cooperation in oil and gas management and investment on refineries in Iran.

Indonesian president is to meet the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani.

Widodo's trip is a response to President Rouhani's visit to Indonesia last year.

President Rouhani had a tour to Indonesia last year and met Indonesian officials to develop bilateral cooperation.
