EghtesadOnline: The special aide to Iran's Majlis (Parliament) speaker has said like the quick pace of developments occurring in the Middle East region, US approach will be unpredictable after its president-elect Donald Trump takes office.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in a meeting with the ambassador of Vietnam to Iran while commenting on possible changes in the US policies after the president-elect Trump takes office in January 20, 2017, as the 45th president of the United States, IRNA reported.

'US policies in the region and the entire world have always been based on hegemony,' Amir-Abdollahian said.

Stressing that finding diplomatic solutions for all regional crises, including Syria, should be taken into consideration, the senior official hoped that the White House would pursue a 'reasonable approach' which would bring tranquility to the region.

Turning to Tehran-Hanoi ties, Amir-Abdollahian said the two capitals should attach importance to further bilateral cooperation.

Iran's Majlis is ready to develop ties with Vietnam, Amir-Abdollahian stressed.

Meanwhile, the Vietnamese ambassador expressed satisfaction over formation of the parliamentary friendship group between Iran and Vietnam and said Hanoi will lose no chance to enhance ties with Tehran.
