EghtesadOnline: Head of the Strategic Research Center at the Expediency Council Ali-Akbar Velayati said on Tuesday that the Islamic Republic of Iran is to spare no efforts to help restore peace and stability in the region.

Speaking to reporters after separate meetings with deputy foreign ministers of Sweden and Denmark, Velayati said those diplomats asked Iran to help restore peace in the region with regards to the country's significant power and facilities in the region.
There is on condition that the territorial integrity of these countries would be respected with their legal governments being supported, Velayati said.
Aliens should be pushed back from the region and foreign forces stationed without permission of the Syrian and Iraqi governments should be returned to their own countries, IRNA quoted him as saying.
Relations between Iran and Scandinavian countries are very deeply rooted and always amicable, Velayati said.
Swedish prime minister is to pay an official visit to Iran in February, he said.
Volume of trade exchanges between Iran, Denmark and Sweden is on the rise to meet both sides' interests, he said.
In the meetings, 'we underlined that issues in Iraq and Yemen have no military solution and all these issues should be resolved through political means,' he said.
On expansion of economic cooperation with the west, he said the Europeans should mind their own interests and stay apart from tyrannical decisions made by the Americans, Velayati said.
