EghtesadOnline: Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi said on Wednesday that Iran will respect whoever the American nation elected for presidency.
He made the remarks visiting IRNA pavilion in the 22nd Exhibition of Press and News Agencies.
He said that Iran respects decisions and choices of the other nations.
Election of Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton makes no difference for Iran because the Democrat and Republican parties have their own policies, he said.
Noting that Iran has no relations with the US, Vaezi said, 'Most of our interaction is restricted to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).'
He said that conduct with each US parties has special approach.
JCPOA is an international document approved by the UN Security Council and respected by all signatories, he said, noting new US president will hold it in esteem and it will remain valid.
Election of the US new president will not harm Iran's interests, the minister said.
