EghtesadOnline: Ali Akbar Velayati, the senior foreign policy advisor to the Leader said Iran is ready to be a mediator between Turkey and Iraq.

Iranian official referred to recent disputes between Iraq and Turkey and underlined Iran’s readiness to mediate between them to prevent any military conflict.

Velayati also touched the issue of Yemen and said Iran has never interfered with the internal affairs of any country including Yemen and Syria, adding Iran believes that Yemeni people themselves can win victory against Saudi leaders and defeat them, reports ISNA.

Concerning the current situation of Iraq and Syria, Velayati said the US seeks independent government in these two states, noting Iran is totally against the disintegration of Iraq and Syria.

“These countries are Iran’s allies and their disintegration and creation of another government inside these countries will neither benefit the region nor the neighboring states, “Iranian official underscored.
