EghtesadOnline: President Hassan Rouhani blasted the US for its hostile policies towards Iran, and urged the Iranian nation to push Trump administration into more isolation by adopting a revolutionary approach.

'We should not let the US get stronger or extend its power and we must not provide them with excuses,' President Rouhani said on Sunday.

According to IRNA, the Iranian president went on to say that being revolutionary means that 'we isolate the US' and talk with the world in a way our words are accepted.

'We are able to deny the west the chances to make allegations regarding the human right issues,' President Rouhani added.

He pointed out the governments' achievements in removing nuclear sanctions, and said, 'Today there are no sanctions against Iran with regard to the nuclear issue.'

'A few days ago when the US talked about the Resolution 2231 and Iran’s missiles in the UN Security Council, was there anyone to support the US? Neither Europe, China, Russia, nor other countries accepted what the US said. But there was a time whatever the US would claim they had 14 other definite votes along them,” he said, stressing that 'we should not do anything to make others get in line with our enemy'.

“When we were sanctioned, the people did not stop backing the country,” he said referring to the side effects of the Iraqi-imposed war during the 1980s and also the imposed sanctions.

'With people's awareness as well as the Leader's utmost tact,” a great election with the public participation was held “so we all are expected to be happy” about it, said the president referring to the presidential election held on May 19.
