EghtesadOnline: Bulgarian Foreign Ministry’s Cultural Director General Ludmila Dimitrova and Iran’s cultural attaché in Bulgaria Mohammad Ali Kiani in a meeting in Sofia underlined the need for development of cultural relations between the two countries.

The meeting was held at the premises of Bulgaria’s foreign ministry in Sofia on Thursday. 

During the meeting, Dimitrova pointed to 120th anniversary of restoration of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Iran as well as the commencement of Bulgaria’s rotating presidency over the European Union in 2017, and proposed that a work agenda for mutual cooperation to prepared by counseling with Iran, according to IRNA. 

Kiani pointed to the similarities, common interests and cultural-ethnical similarities between the two countries, and said, “Iran’s cultural counseling activities in Bulgaria was one of the most exhilarating and influential activities during the hole of my career.”
