EghtesadOnline: President Hassan Rouhani met his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the 13th ECO Summit in Islamabad on Wednesday and the two discussed bilateral ties and regional developments.

Both sides on the occasion stressed the need to further enhance bilateral cooperation in all sectors and reiterated boosting close friendly ties between the neighboring nations, IRNA reported.

In the meeting, both leaders discussed global and regional developments, fight against terrorism and new emerging developments in the Middle East.

President Rouhani arrived in Pakistan on Tuesday to participate in the 13th ECO Summit in Islamabad. 

The Iranian President, earlier and during his address at the opening ceremony of the summit, called for enhancing economic cooperation between the ECO member states.

Rouhani also urged the need for the ECO to undergo restructuring.
