EghtesadOnline: Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi on Tuesday condemned terrorist operation in Lahore demonstration claiming the lives of many people and injuring others.

Expressing regret with the bereaved families and Pakistani nation and government over the terrorist attacks, he said that terrorist groups through such inhuman and savage operations try to weaken firm determinations of the nations in the region and uproot them, but 'we believe that these groups will fail to attain their sinister goals through such operations'.

'The Islamic Republic of Iran will stay besides Pak government and nation in their struggles against terrorism,' he said.

According to IRNA, a powerful bomb blast on Monday ripped through a protest gathering in the Pakistani city of Lahore in front of parliament, killing at least 15 people and wounding dozens.
