EghtesadOnline: Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi condemned the terrorist attack in east of the Afghan capital city of Kabul claimed by Taliban terrorists on Monday.

Qassemi also criticized the inaction of the international bodies about the attack noting that terrorism has been employed as a stock in trade of regional political players for spread of the ominous phenamenon, reports IRNA.

Three suicide bombers attacked Kabul's Northgate Hotel early on Monday killing a soldier. All the three attackers were also killed.

Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Underlining the need for fighting the root-cause of terrorism in the region, Qassemi noted that Takfiri terrorism has its roots in Wahhabi thoughts.

He accused the Saudi ruling family of having relations with Wahhabism, which he said has a dark reputation of killing, looting, violence, slavery and demolition of religious and archeological sites.

Qassemi noted that it's not possible to counter terrorism in the absence an international resolve. 'Double standards about terrorism must be kept aside.'
