EghtesadOnline: Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi said on Monday that Iran and US have held and will hold no talks but those related to the nuclear issue.

Qassemi made the statement in response to recent remarks by the Director of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) John Brennan who claimed that Tehran and Washington are negotiating about a wide range of issues, according to IRNA.

CIA chief is not in a position to make irrelevant comments about Iran's internal affairs, Qassemi said in response to Brennan alledging that there is a
'tension' among Iranian officials.

Such comments by the US officials are aimed to 'create a psychological operation' to polarize the Iranian nation, the spokesman added.

He said that the Iranian people are intelligent enough to heed the statements of the US officials.
