EghtesadOnline: Managing Director of National Iranian Gas Export Company Alireza Kameli said that Iran and Georgia signed a deal for pumping 40 million cubic meters of gas to Georgia.

“Based on the agreement, the volume of gas which is to be exported to Georgia for a four-months period totals 40 million cubic meters,” Kameli said.

According to ISNA, he said that the agreement has been signed with a Georgian private company named Georgian International Energy Corporation for a four-months period and for test.

Kameli further noted that implementing the agreement needs receiving the required permits from Armenia.

The Georgian company is working in generation, energy transfer, hydro-power and power plants facilities. It is also involved in importing and exporting gas for its industrial clients.

The company was established in 2005 in Tbilisi.
