EghtesadOnline: Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's visit to Tehran is still on agenda as the two countries are witnessing growing relations, an informed source at Iran's Embassy in Tokyo announced.
Abe's visit to Tehran will take place at a proper time, the source told IRNA Tuesday.
The source made the remarks while referring to the news broadcast by some Japanese media that Abe's upcoming travel to Iran has been called off due to the US forthcoming presidential elections.
The news that Abe will travel to Iran in late August is a media speculation, the source said, adding the time of the visit has not been set yet by Japan's officials.
Kyodo News and Japan Daily have already quoted Japanese officials as saying that the country's prime minister is willing to visit Iran.
