EghtesadOnline: Islamic Republic of Iran Mine Action Center (IRMAC) and International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) inked an MoU on implementing mine action program and explosive remnants of war.

According to the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics, the MoU was sealed by Head of IRMAC Brigadier General Mohammad Hossein Amir Ahmadi and Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Representative Office in Tehran Olivier Martin.

Both sides underscored promoting the knowledge of the danger of landmines and explosive remnants of war in West Azarbaijan, Kurdestan, Kermanshah, Ilam and Khuzestan provinces, reports IRNA.

The two sides also agreed on joint cooperation in training programs regarding the danger of land mines and emphasized joint cooperation in managing mine action knowledge including experience exchange, holding expert meetings and related activities.
