Iran tops the group A with 10 points, followed by Uzbekistan on nine and South Korea now on seven.
South Korea has never won at Iran's Azadi Stadium in six trips, with only two draws and four losses.
South Korea lost to Iran 1-0 in each of the last three meetings after conceding a goal in the second half.
