EghtesadOnline: Economic activists from Gilan province arrived in Baku on Saturday to promote trade exchanges between Iran and Azerbaijan Republic.
Head of the provincial team, Ali Khodkar told reporters on Saturday that the delegation comprises 25 private sector activists including chief of provincial chamber of guilds, reports IRNA.
Boosting commercial exchanges between the two nations are among the major objectives of the three-day visit, he said.
In the Year of Economic Resistance, the government focused on promoting exports and the delegation will hold a joint meeting with the Azeri commercial activists, the official said.
Khodkar hoped that the agreements concluded in Baku would help promote products and exports in the region.
Businessmen from Iran's border provinces have visited Baku trade centers and Gilan is the third sending delegation to Azerbaijan Republic, he said.
Located in northwestern Gilan on the border with Azerbaijan Republic, Astara Iran's third highly frequented border.
