EghtesadOnline: Operator of the South Pars Phase 19 Hamid-Reza Masoodi said on Saturday that gas recovery from South Pars phase 19 has reached 800 million cubic feet a day.
Masoodi told reporters that thus far, 650,000 barrels of gas condensates of the field have been exported to target markets, FNA reports.
He made the remark after successful installation of platform A19 of South Pars. "This year, Phase 19 of South Pars, whose performance is equal to that of two standard phases, will be operational."
The official said the phase will earn the country 3.5 to four billion dollars revenue a day. "In light of the project, two billion cubic feet of gas, 80,000 barrels of gas condensates, 2,550 tons of ethane as feedstock to petrochemical facilities, and 3,200 tons of LPG, including Bhutane, and propane, and 400 tons of sulfur will be produced daily."
He pointed to operation of platform 19C of South Pars recently and said now, 400 million cubic feet of gas is recovered from the platform and transferred to refinery for refining and injection to the nationwide network. It will reach its target capacity of 500 million cubic feet of gas a day by next few days, he added.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Masoodi said that the platform SPD2 was put into operation in the winter season and now, platforms C19 and SPD2 in combination transfer 800 million cubic feet of gas or equal to 17.2 million cubic feet of gas to refinery in early basis and then the output is injected to the nationwide network after sweetening.
He also pointed to production of gas condensates from the phases and said that thus far, 650,000 barrels of gas condensates have been exported to the target markets from phase 19 of South Pars.
The operator also referred to operations for installation of Platform A19 and said it has the capacity to refine one billion cubic feet of gas and as platform B19 comes into operation it will also yield such an amount of gas. But, for the time being, 500 million cubic feet of gas can be recovered from platform A19, he added.
