EghtesadOnline: Iranian Interior Minister Abdol-Reza Rahmani-Fazli and his Omani counterpart Hamood bin Faisal Al Busaidi stressed boosting bilateral ties as they met here in Tehran.

Religious, cultural and historical commonalities and neighborliness necessitate putting ties with neighbors in priority, Fazli said in a meeting with the Omani minister.

According to ISNA, he said that southern Iranian provinces are ready for commerce and economic relations with coastal provinces of Oman.

Hamood bin Faisal Al Busaidi, for his part, called Iran-Oman ties deep, and said bilateral ties between Iran and Oman in the region are unique.

The Omani official and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif signed a final document on determining maritime borders of Iran and Oman which was immediately implemented after being signed.
