EghtesadOnline: Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) traded 2,858 KT of various commodities in August worth over $1,188 million in spot and side markets.
According to the report from IME International Affairs and PR, 2,858 KT of different commodities were traded in domestic and export trading floors including 1,211 KT of various commodities worth more than $525 million on oil and petrochemical trading floor, 1,086 KT of different products worth approximately $452 million on metal and mineral trading floor, and approximately 551 KT of agricultural products worth $208 million on agricultural trading floor in the spot market.
Moreover, this month, the export trading floor witnessed trading of 256,259 MT of bitumen worth more than $57 million, 5,248 MT of insulation worth more than $2 million, 15 KT of sulfur worth more than $726 thousand, 385 KT of iron ore worth approximately $8.4 million, 500 MT of lube cut oil worth over $158,297 as well as 1,280 MT of VB feedstock worth more than $227 thousand, reports ISNA.
In addition, IME experienced trading of 8,709 MT of products worth $2 million in its side market during the same month.
It is worth noting, the derivatives market played host to the trading of 242,242 gold coin futures contracts worth over $905 million.
