EghtesadOnline: Iran on Wednesday ruled out Bahraini interior ministry statement about alleged Iranian link of the Bahraini people under arrest for their protest against government calling for and end to social and economic discrimination.
'The Bahraini Interior Ministry statement about alleged Iranian link of the protesters against the government is a matter of repetition, false, baseless and a worn-out method,' Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi said.
According to IRNA, he called on Bahraini government to avoid repetition of such baseless claims and the vain and tested approach, taking lessons from futility of such measures and embark on democratic settlement of its domestic problems and intricacies.
He underlined that unfortunately, the goal of Bahraini government in raising such forged and negative allegations are to put the blame on the others about the domestic crisis and refraining from accountability before public opinion.
Since Bahraini uprising in 2011, the Bahraini government pursues crack down on protesters nd suppression of the opposition accusing them of having links with foreign countries, including Iran.
