EghtesadOnline: Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi said on Friday that Iranian and Turkish senior officials are due to exchange meetings soon.

Meanwhile, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu had a short visit to Tehran on Thursday to follow up agreements and consultations held with Iran in the current of visit of Mohammad Javad Zarif to Ankara last week.

Qassemi said that Cavusoglu in his short stop in Tehran discussed the latest regional developments and bilateral ties with Zarif, according to ILNA.

He said that the two foreign ministers held talks for five hours.

During past week visit of Zarif to Ankara, he discussed several hours with Turkish President Erdogan and other senior officials and they reached agreement to have regular consultations at different levels.
