EghtesadOnline: Iraqi Airways has launched a new flight to take Iraqi tourists to Iranian northern provinces.

Director of public relations department of Gilan Airport Reza Alavi said that Baghdad-Rasht-Basra flight will operate every Friday. 

Flight No. 1119 will leave Baghdad on 13:30 every Friday and land in Sardar Jangal Airport in Rasht, the capital city of the northern province of Gilan, on 15:00, Alavi said, adding that after a one-hour stop, the flight will continue its way to Basra, Iraq. 

Flight No. 1117 will leave Basra for Sardar Jangal Airport at 18:30 on the same day and then will head to Baghdad on 21, Alavi said. 

The new flight operated for the first time last Friday (July 29) taking 219 Iraqi people from Baghdad and Basra to Rasht and taking back 116 Iraqi people from Rasht to Baghdad and Basra.
