EghtesadOnline: Iranian researcher Elham Jafarzadeh ranked 2nd in International Conference & Exhibition on “Sugarcane Value Chain - Vision 2025 Sugar for making 100% organic products in Pune, India.
Jafarzadeh's article on different species of sugarcane in India ranked 2nd among some 153 articles, IRNA reported.
'I have started my studies on achieving 100 percent-organic products using advantageous microorganisms in sugarcane called ' Endophytic Nitrogen Fixing' since 2009 and I have presented 4 articles up to 2016' she said on Sunday.
'The 2009 researches aimed at removing chemical fertilizers, namely nitrate, phosphate, potash and chemical pesticides to protect human health and to maintain soil for future generations and to reduce over 60% of the high fees of buying fertilizers', she added.
Jafarzadeh was selected as top student in the student scientific conference on” Science and Technology, Vision Statement and National Interests' which was held on December 27-28, 2014 in Iran’s Culture House in New Delhi, India.
The International conference & exhibition on sugarcane value chain – vision 2025 sugar was held on November 13-16 at Vasantdada Sugar Institute, Pune, Maharashtra, India.
