EghtesadOnline: Head of Iran's Information Technology Organization Nasrollah Jahangard says Iran-Malaysia cooperation in information and communications technologies (ICT) is in low level and is hoped to be upgraded with exchange of commercial delegations between the two sides.

Jahangard made the remarks as Malaysian commercial delegation visited Tehran International Elecomp Exhibition.

According to IRNA, Jahangard also stressed removal of banking problems facing expansion of Iran's relations with other countries, including Malaysia, and said the two-way ties are hoped to be promoted.

He also referred to an economic meeting held with the Malaysian party in the ICT domain and said provision of special facilities, identification of Iran's capacity and expansion of cooperation between Iranian and Malaysian private sectors were among goals of the Elecomp 22 Exhbition.

He noted that more than 60 Malaysian companies are in Iran and half of the companies represent the telecommunication and information technology of Malaysia.

A commercial delegation with 60 members from Malaysia visited the Tehran Elecomp Exhibition on Friday and on the second day of the expo held a meeting with Iranian Communications and Information Technology Ministry officials.
