About 1.23 billion shares valued at $35.19 million changed hands at TSE for the day.
Trading at TSE and Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends on Wednesday.
Khorasan Steel Company was the biggest winner, as its shares went up 17.68% to 9,637 rials per share, according to Financial Tribune.
Asia Insurance Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.91% to 1,318 rials per share.
Khorasan Steel Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Telecommunications Company of Iran and Informatics Services Company.
Iran National Copper Industries Company was the biggest laggard behind the benchmark’s fall, followed by Omid Investment Company and Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Complex.
The Price Index gained 310.48 points to close at 38,565.
The First Market Index was up 757.82 points to post 96,027.3.
The Second Market Index added 2,216.32 points to reach 266,153.3.
The Industry Index scored 1,020.31 points to register 1,020.31.
The Free Float Index was up 850.27 points to hit 139,942.65.
The TSE 30 gained 26.50 point to settle at 6,516.2 and the TSE 50 ended 40.55 points higher to finish at 5,739.4.

Iran Fara Bourse’s main index IFX gained 5.06 points or 0.34% to close Saturday trade at 1,505.9.
About 706.97 million securities valued at $29.82 million were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Esfahan Steel Company had the highest number of traded shares and trade value, as 125.81 million of its shares worth $2.13 million changed hands.
Pegah Golestan Dairy Company, Pars Paper Industries Company and Kowsar Insurance registered the highest value increase.
Tadbirgaran-e Fars and Khuzestan, Kimia Zanjan Gostaran Mining Company and KBC Company suffered the biggest decline.
Marun Petrochemical Company, Hormozgan Steel Company and Khorasan Petrochemical Company had the most positive impact on IFX.
