EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 1.93 million tons of non-oil commodities worth $1.8 billion with South Korea during the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 21-July 22), registering a 48.19% and 26.29% decline in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period, Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s statistics indicate.

Iran’s exports to South Korea stood at 1.57 million tons worth $820.82 million, down 52.14% and 40.48% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. South Korea was Iran’s fifth biggest export destination during the period. Iran mainly exported gas condensate, chemicals, metal and steel ingots to South Korea during the period. South Korea exported 358,986 tons of goods worth $987.33 million to Iran, down 18.71% and 8.06% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. South Korea was the third biggest exporter of goods to Iran over the four months. The imports mainly included auto parts, vehicles, machinery and LCD/LED modules, according to Financial Tribune.
