EghtesadOnline: Exports from Iran’s southern Fars Province saw a 25% rise during the last fiscal year (March 2017-18) compared with the year before to stand at $1.3 billion, the head of Shiraz Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture said.

“Over 4.3 million tons of goods were exported from Fars, of which 72% were shipped by sea. About 26,000 tons of fruits and vegetables were exported by air,” Jamal Razeqi was also quoted as saying by the news outlet of ICCIMA.

Iraq, the UAE, Germany, Afghanistan, Qatar, Kuwait, Syria, Pakistan, Austria and Turkmenistan were the top export destinations of Fars Province.

The exported commodities mainly included tiles and ceramic, dairy products, food, licorice powder and carpets, Financial Tribune reported.
