EghtesadOnline: Iran exported $120 million of pharmaceutical products in the last fiscal year (March 2017-18), about twice as much as the preceding year’s volume, the director general of Iran’s Food and Drug Administration said.

The exports mainly included “high-tech” and “chemotherapy” drugs that were mostly shipped to Russia, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Ukraine and Azerbaijan.

“Preserving the priority of supplying the domestic need for pharmaceutical products, FDA has issued license for the export of surplus production by encouraging pharmaceutical production companies,” Akbar Barandegi was also quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency.
