EghtesadOnline: Over 1 million tons of commodities were transited from Sarakhs rail border crossing in the northeastern Khorasan Razavi Province during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2017-Feb. 20), to register a 63% rise compared with the corresponding period of last year, the director general of Khorasan Razavi Railroad Organization said.

“These products entered the country from Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan and exited mainly from Bandar Abbas, Razi and Mirjaveh border crossings in the southern Hormozgan, northwestern West Azarbaijan and southeastern Sistan-Baluchestan provinces respectively,” Mohammad Hadi Ziyaeimehr was also quoted as saying by the news portal of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.

Ziyaeimehr added that sulfur, fertilizers, cotton and aluminum ingots were the main products transited during the period, Financial Tribune reported.
