Fifty drivers participated in the competition, local automotive website Khodro Bank reported. The race follows a short, straight course from a standing start over a measured distance, most commonly 402 meters. The race is getting trendy in Iran. Earlier in August a similar competition was held in the northern city of Bandar Anzali with 100 drivers, according to Financial Tribune.
