EghtesadOnline: The northern city of Ramsar, located in Mazandaran Province, will host the First International Symposium on Wild Flowers and Native Plants in collaboration with the International Society for Horticultural Science on May 1-4, 2017.

Scientists from the US, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Australia, Mexico, Chile, Japan and Turkey as well as several African countries along with 12 Iranian researchers will present their findings on topics including, but not limited to, drought-tolerant ornamental plants, biodiversity and genetic resources, plant protection and ecological sustainability, germplasm and traditional breeding, modern breeding strategies, cultivation and flowering physiology and landscape and urban horticulture during the event, the head of National Institute of Ornamental Plants, Mohammad Reza Shafiei, was quoted as saying by IANA.
