EghtesadOnline: Overhauling the laws and regulations of the country’s banking system would be one of the main priorities of Majlis Economic Commission during the current fiscal year that started on March 21, the head of the commission said.

Commenting on the Year of Resistance Economy: Production and Employment, Mohammad Reza Pour-Ebrahimi also said in a talk with ICANA, the news website of the Iranian Parliament, that “reviewing the details of reforming the laws and regulations of the banking system, amending the value added tax laws and reforming the law on combating smuggling of goods and foreign currency have been established as the priorities of the economic commission”. He also referred to empowering local production and ending recess ion as Iran’s major policy issues, Financial Tribune reported.
