EghtesadOnline: Trade between Iran and Indonesia will grow 25% to hit $1.2 billion in 2017, the Iranian chairman of Iran-Indonesia Economic Commission, Mahmoud Vaezi, predicted in a meeting with visiting Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution on Sunday.

Vaezi, who is also Iran’s minister of communications and information technology, underlined the importance of reaching a preferential trade agreement between Tehran and Jakarta and called for clearing all hurdles, including banking ones, in the way of expanding bilateral relations. The Indonesian minister is leading an economic delegation during the two-day visit (February 26-27) to Iran, according to Financial Tribune. Exports to and imports from Indonesia hovered around $126.43 million and $149.49 million during the 10 months of the current Iranian year (started March 20, 2016) respectively, IRNA reported.
