EghtesadOnline: For the first time, a red baby kangaroo was born in Iran in Tehran's Eram Zoo, an official said on Monday.
Talking to IRNA, Head of Eram Zoo Parviz Qandali said the health condition of the baby Kangaroo and its mother is satisfactory.
Qandali added the red kangaroos could live 15 years in the wild and 20 years in captivity.
This species is a very large kangaroo with long, pointed ears and a squared-off muzzle.
The red kangaroo is the largest of all kangaroos, the largest terrestrial mammal native to Australia, and the largest extant marsupial. It is found across mainland Australia, avoiding only the more fertile areas in the south, the east coast, and the northern rainforests.
